Copyright and takedowns
Last updated: 2 July 2026. This page explains how BLAKCITY handles copyrighted material. It is a plain-language guide, not legal advice.
BLAKCITY and its white-label platforms host content uploaded by platform owners and members: audio (city radio, studio sessions, recorded takes), images, video links, and text. Uploaders are responsible for having the rights to what they upload. Platform owners warrant, as part of their platform agreement, that music and media they supply for their platform is licensed or owned by them.
If you believe content on BLAKCITY or any platform it operates infringes your copyright, email hello@markvizion.com with the subject "DMCA Takedown Notice" and include:
(1) the URL or in-world location of the material; (2) identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed; (3) your name, address, and email; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.
Valid notices result in prompt removal or disabling of the identified material. The uploader is notified and may submit a counter-notice with their contact information, identification of the removed material, and a statement under penalty of perjury that they believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification. If a valid counter-notice is received and the claimant does not file court action within 14 business days, the material may be restored.
Accounts or platform owners who repeatedly upload infringing material will have upload privileges revoked and may have their accounts or platforms terminated.
The collaborative studio (DAW) stores beats and recorded takes uploaded by signed-in members. Uploading a beat or take is a representation that you own it or are licensed to use it for collaboration on this platform. Session participants keep their own rights in their contributions; the platform stores and plays the audio only to operate the session features.
White-label platform owners who supply music, video, or imagery for their platform (radio stations, stage performances, media libraries) must hold the rights or licenses for that material and confirm this in writing as part of onboarding. Takedown notices for owner-supplied media are handled the same way as member uploads, and unresolved claims may pause the affected media or platform.
